Hartlepool United Football Club concept art

Acrylic on canvas. Just a conceptual piece using iconography associated with the town of Hartlepool (e.g. Andy Capp, the Hartlepool monkey hanging legend, etc). IThis is actually an old piece of art... one that I did about 10 years ago and that I considered using for T-shirts and coffee mugs, etc.

Now that I've discovered the wonders of Wacom graphics tablets and Adobe Photoshop I'm actually seriously considering revisiting this design and doing a "digital redux"... as I think I could do something really cool with it using my new toolset.

Interesting piece of trivia: a friend of mine liked this design so much that he got it tattooed on his back!
